In-Meeting Notices
In-Meeting Notices
What the notices you may see during a call mean, and what to do about them.
"This meeting is open in another tab"
You rejoined the same meeting in another tab or window of the same browser, so this one was disconnected — a meeting runs in one tab at a time per device. Click Return here to continue in this tab (which disconnects the other one), or just switch to the newer tab.
Joining from a second device is different and works normally — you appear as a separate participant.
"Transcript unavailable"
Shown once right after joining when the transcription service could not attach to this call. The meeting itself is unaffected — audio, video, live translation, subtitles, chat, and screen sharing all keep working — but the saved transcript and the AI recap won't be produced for this call.
"Translation limit reached"
Translation minutes are drawn from the host's plan, and the state is the same for everyone in the room. When the host's monthly limit runs out:
- a "Translation limit reached" badge appears in the control bar; its tooltip explains that translation is paused until the limit resets or the plan is upgraded
- the translation toggle and language picker in the More menu are disabled
- a translation session already running in this meeting keeps going; what's blocked is turning translation on, changing language, and translation in new meetings
The notice includes when the next free allowance becomes available, when known. See Billing & Plans for the limits per plan.
"Meeting ending soon" / time limit reached
On the Basic plan, meetings have a duration cap. Shortly before the cap a warning appears; at the cap the meeting ends for all participants automatically. The host then sees a 60-second countdown before the same link can be rejoined — or can upgrade to remove the cap entirely. Other participants can rejoin as soon as the host restarts the meeting.
"You're away"
Covered in Meeting Controls → Idle Away & Auto-Mute: after 30 minutes without input your microphone is muted; move the mouse or press a key to clear the state.
