Voice Notes
Voice Notes
Some things are faster to say than to type — a thought after a call, a decision taken in the hallway, a status for the team while you walk. A voice note records it into the channel, and InterMIND turns it into text on its own: the transcript, and short structured notes with the point, the decisions and the action items.
Voice notes are included on every plan.
Recording a Voice Note
In the web app and in the InterMIND mobile apps, the composer of every channel and chat shows a microphone button in place of send while the message field is empty — in a channel and in the chat of a live meeting alike.
- Tap the microphone. The browser or the phone asks for microphone access the first time.
- Speak — while you record, the button turns into send. The message field stays open: anything you type meanwhile goes out with the note.
- Tap send to stop the recording and send the note. The note goes first, your text follows it as a message.
A voice note can be up to ten minutes long. At the limit the recording stops on its own and waits in the composer for your next send.
What Everyone Gets
The voice note lands in the channel as a playable audio message. Its card shows Transcribing… for a few moments, then AI summary — the same status strip that document summaries use. Opening it shows two tabs:
- Summary — the point of the note in one or two sentences, then decisions, action items with the owner and date when you named them, open questions and key facts
- Transcript — everything that was said, paragraph by paragraph; every bullet of the summary links back to the paragraph it came from
Teammates read the summary in their own language, like every document summary and recap in InterMIND. The transcript stays in the language it was spoken in.
Voice notes work in any channel, including the channel you keep for yourself — a quick way to dictate notes for later.
Where the Audio Goes
Speech recognition for voice notes runs at Mistral, the EU-hosted AI provider that already writes InterMIND's meeting summaries. The audio file is stored with the channel's other files and is deleted with the message. Every hop is listed on the trust page.
