Telegram
Connect your Telegram account to InterMIND and everything you forward to the InterMIND bot lands in your personal Inbox — a system chat only you can see. Add the bot to a Telegram group and it mirrors the group's messages into your channel with the same name.
Message flow is one-way: Telegram → InterMIND. Replying inside an InterMIND channel does not post back to the Telegram chat.
Connecting
- Open Settings from the sidebar
- In the Telegram card, click Connect Telegram
- A Telegram tab opens on the InterMIND bot — press Start
- The bot confirms: "Connected to <your email>"
The connect link is single-use and works for 15 minutes; if it expires, start again from Settings. One Telegram account can be linked to one InterMIND account at a time — if yours is already linked elsewhere, send /stop to the bot first.
The card shows Connected / Not connected, refreshed every time you return to the tab.
Your Inbox
The Inbox is created automatically the first time something arrives. It appears in the regular chat list on the Channels page, titled Inbox, and behaves like a normal chat with two exceptions: it's personal (nobody can be invited into it) and it's the default destination for everything Telegram sends you.
What lands there:
- Anything you forward or send directly to the bot — text, links, photos, documents, video, voice messages
- Group and Secretary-mode messages that don't match a routing rule (see below)
A file forwarded with a caption arrives as two messages: the file, then the caption. Messages edited in Telegram are updated in InterMIND too, with the previous text kept in the edit history.
Mirroring a Telegram group
Add the InterMIND bot to a Telegram group (you must be connected first). From then on, group messages flow into your channel whose name exactly matches the group title. If no channel matches — or several do — messages go to your Inbox instead; name a channel after the group (or pin the chat, below) to route them.
The bot announces the destination in the group when it joins. Removing the bot from the group stops the mirror.
Secretary mode (Telegram Business)
If you use Telegram Business, you can connect the InterMIND bot as a chatbot for selected personal chats. Incoming messages from those chats flow into InterMIND automatically:
- into your shared direct channel with that person, when the sender is on InterMIND and you share exactly one
- into your Inbox otherwise
Only the other person's messages are ingested — your own outgoing replies are not. Telegram Business is a Telegram Premium feature and covers personal chats only, not groups.
Routing a chat to a channel
To pin a Telegram chat to a specific channel permanently:
- In your Inbox, open the context menu on a message from that chat
- Click Always deliver to a channel…
- Pick one of your channels and save
New messages from that chat now land in the chosen channel. Pins override the name-matching rules and are not retroactive — already-delivered messages stay where they are.
Active pins are listed in Settings → Telegram under Chat routing; remove one with the × button and the chat returns to rule-based routing.
Disconnecting
Two equivalent ways:
- Settings → Telegram → Disconnect
- Send
/stopto the bot in Telegram
Disconnecting only unlinks the account — already-ingested messages, routing pins, and group connections are kept, but nothing new arrives until you reconnect.
Limits
- Incoming files count toward your team's storage pool. When storage is full, the file is not saved and the bot warns you; text keeps flowing.
- Telegram is available on every plan — there is no plan gating.
