Telegram Integration

Sync InterMIND chat messages with Telegram.

Telegram Integration

InterMIND can sync chat messages to Telegram, allowing team members to stay updated on conversations without having the InterMIND app open.

Overview

The Telegram integration provides:

  • One-way sync — Messages from InterMIND chat are forwarded to a Telegram chat
  • Real-time delivery — Messages arrive in Telegram as they're sent
  • Team notifications — Keep your team informed via their existing Telegram setup

How It Works

When Telegram integration is enabled for a team channel:

  1. A message is sent in the InterMIND chat
  2. The message is automatically forwarded to the linked Telegram chat/group
  3. Team members see the message in both InterMIND and Telegram

Setting Up Telegram Sync

Prerequisites

  • You need to be a team admin to set up the integration
  • A Telegram bot token (created via @BotFather)
  • A Telegram group where the bot is added

Configuration Steps

  1. Go to SettingsIntegrations
  2. Find the Telegram section
  3. Enter your Bot Token from BotFather
  4. Enter the Chat ID of your Telegram group
  5. Click Save to enable the integration

Getting a Telegram Bot Token

  1. Open Telegram and search for @BotFather
  2. Send /newbot and follow the instructions
  3. Copy the bot token provided by BotFather
  4. Add the bot to your Telegram group

Finding the Chat ID

  1. Add the bot to your Telegram group
  2. Send a message in the group
  3. Visit https://api.telegram.org/bot<YOUR_BOT_TOKEN>/getUpdates
  4. Find the chat.id value in the response

Message Format in Telegram

Messages forwarded to Telegram include:

  • Sender name — Who sent the message
  • Message content — The text of the message
  • Timestamp — When the message was sent

File attachments are noted but may not be forwarded directly — a link to view them in InterMIND may be provided instead.

Limitations

  • One-way only — Messages sent in Telegram are NOT synced back to InterMIND
  • Text only — Rich formatting may be simplified
  • No reactions — Emoji reactions are not forwarded
  • No edits — Message edits in InterMIND are not reflected in Telegram

Disabling the Integration

To stop Telegram sync:

  1. Go to SettingsIntegrations
  2. Remove or clear the Telegram bot token
  3. Click Save

Messages already forwarded to Telegram remain in the Telegram chat.
