Recap beside the chat, sifted channels and a headphone mode for Translator

Over the last two weeks, recaps moved next to your conversations: on desktop a recap opens in a second column beside the chat. Channels can now sift out messages you don't want to see. The sidebar has new Channels, Archive and Meetings tabs. Mia's Help panel, the glossary and the Translator app also got updates, along with a round of chat, meeting and settings fixes.

New

  • Recap beside the chat — On a desktop, opening a recap card in a channel shows the recap in a second column next to the messages. It is no longer a preview.
  • Sifting and summaries at the channel's entrance — The channel owner can choose «Don't show messages like this». Sifted messages fold into a list you can open, with full cards and a «Show messages like this» button to bring one back. Long messages get a short summary from Mia, and long cards collapse with «Show more».
  • New design of channels and meetings — The sidebar now has Channels, Archive and Meetings tabs, and the Meetings tab shows the recap of the selected meeting next to the list. It is on by default for new accounts; existing accounts can switch it on themselves. In this design the Inbox row is hidden, and the recap of an ad-hoc meeting lives on the Meetings tab and in the email.
  • Preview features page — /previews lists what InterMIND is building. Any account can switch a preview on under Settings → Advanced after accepting the alpha terms, and «Send feedback» opens the feedback form for that preview.
  • Mia in the Help panel — The panel (⌘/) is now simply called Help. You can close a conversation with the bin, see your previous conversations from the empty screen and reopen an old one, and Mia remembers the whole thread. Select text on the screen and send it with your question as a quote. Every plan has the thread, with a daily limit per person that depends on the plan.
  • Mia on mobile — In the mobile app, swipe left to open Mia as a full-screen page, in a channel and on the call stage alike.
  • Glossary through Mia — Tell Mia how a term must be translated: add, list and remove terms in a conversation, or add many at once (up to 1,000). You can attach a glossary file to the Help panel, or share it in a channel and Mia reads it from there. Word forms of a term are now generated when you save the rule. The glossary applies to recaps, documents, chat and notes, not to live captions.
  • Translator headphone mode (iOS) — With headphones on, your phrase goes to the headphones and the other person's phrase goes to the speaker, detected automatically. A session starts with a tap, with no silence timer. When the free limit is reached, the screen lets you share the conversation.
  • Who is who in the «@» menu — Typing «@» in a channel's message field shows people grouped as channel, team and people you've met, with the email under the name. A task owner is assigned through «@» only, not by a name in the text.
  • A guest can leave an address when exiting — A guest who leaves sees what the meeting leaves behind and can choose «Keep this meeting» or «Ask the host to add me» in one tap. The host then enters the address in one click.
  • Team status pages keep tasks until closed — Tasks and promises stay open until closed, and a channel message can close one, with the evidence shown on the page. A recap forwarded to a channel adds its facts to that channel, and a member's verdict can be given through connected AI assistants. The responsible person is a contact picked with «@».
  • Carried-over tasks on the team status page — «Carried over» no longer appears in the meeting summary. Those tasks are judged at each recap and shown on the team status page.
  • Quick reactions in chat — The reaction row on a message shows 👍 ✅ 👀 🙏 🎉 🤔, a round «+» opens a picker with any emoji, and a «Recent» section sits at the top of the picker. The chevron that opens a message's menu on hover is no longer a preview.
  • Mia's notes beside the conversation — Mia's notes appear in a side rail next to the messages, not inside them. This is available as a preview.
  • Forwarded from, with a link back — On a forwarded copy, «Forwarded from» opens the original chat at that message.
  • New-device sign-in email and signed-in devices — When you sign in from a new device, you get an email with a «This wasn't me» button. Settings → Advanced now has a «Signed-in devices» card.
  • Mia answers by voice on the demo — On the demo, Mia answers a typed message by voice, and explanations stay in the chat.
  • Connect your organization's directory without a team — If you don't have a team yet, connecting your organization's directory creates one. If you disconnect, your data is re-read so the team no longer shows as yours.

Improved

  • Meetings tab — Recent shows only meetings that have a recap. A finished meeting appears there at once with a loader while its recap is prepared. A meeting you open alone ends immediately. A recap you've opened is cached for ten minutes, so a repeat click opens it without a loader.
  • Why there is no recap — If a meeting has no recap, a toast tells you the reason when you leave: you were alone, nobody spoke with translation on, or too little was said.
  • Recap pages in the cabinet — Recap and team pages open inside the app with the sidebar instead of in separate windows. The History button and version history are gone from the recap card.
  • Original voice under the translation — The original of another language is dimmed to 20% under the translation instead of being silenced. This works per speaker, so participants who speak your language stay audible. The same applies on mobile and in iOS Safari.
  • Chat translation — A message is translated by the language of its text, not by the author's setting. «Show translation» and «Show original» swap in the message bubble itself, with no pop-up window.
  • Language pickers — The pickers read «Translate for me into» and «Hear in». Each list opens with a short label row and a search field, and takes the height the screen leaves it.
  • Subtitles field — The subtitles field can be stretched by its top corner.
  • More interface languages — Swedish, Finnish, Danish, Norwegian, Hungarian, Romanian, Slovenian and Lithuanian are added to the site and app interface languages.
  • Settings cards — Settings cards are more compact, with the icon on the left and the explanations behind a book icon. The User card is a single row with the avatar as a menu. The Privacy card replaces Email and Usage statistics. One accent from the picker applies to every theme. The start-page setting is removed.
  • Integrations — Integration cards use the same compact style, assistants come before keys, and Team pages is first in the Team block. After connecting a calendar or directory you return to where you came from.
  • Overview for everyone — /overview opens with an empty-state introduction instead of «not in a team».
  • Narrow windows — When space runs short, the sidebars give way one at a time, apps first and then Home, and return as the window grows. Sidebars collapse with a chevron, not by clicking empty space.
  • Creating a channel — The people field separates «Added right away» from «Invited by email». An empty address book offers email and the organization directory. Enter creates a channel with the chips and typed name. A new empty channel shows three steps and an «Add people» button.
  • First run — Each tab has its own start page on first launch. The new account starts on Meetings until it has a channel.
  • Billing — Billing shows the period history above invoices, with a link to who is active.
  • Meet now and Join — In a wide window, the panel header shows a «Meet now» or «Join» button instead of the phone icon.

Fixed

  • Unread marks — A message above the visible window is no longer marked as read, and on-demand translation counts a line as visible only when half of it or half the window is in view.
  • Copy and links — Copy from the context menu copies the selected fragment, links in HTML messages are clickable, and text in bubbles can be selected.
  • Message menus and bubbles — The hover menu no longer jitters while it is open. In the meeting panel, a bubble is no longer cut off at 85% of the width.
  • New channels and «Unknown» — A new channel no longer disappears from the sidebar two seconds after creation. Members without an account no longer show as «Unknown» in a channel's people and the «@» menu.
  • Badges — The dock and PWA badge matches the Home badge, and a hidden Inbox is not counted. The Channels tab has its own unread count.
  • Invitation emails — Meeting, team and task-owner invitations quote the name the same way, and a channel invitation quotes the channel name.
  • Sign-in — A refused sign-in no longer sends repeated emails: at most 3 per day. The empty email field is no longer drawn with a red border.
  • Desktop app — The floating «Back» button is removed from all screens, the cookie banner no longer appears in the desktop app, and the window no longer restores onto a meeting's pre-join screen.
  • Subscriptions — A deleted old subscription no longer puts a team on Basic when it has another live one. A paid checkout now cancels a running no-card trial.
  • Telegram Business — Both sides of a Telegram Business conversation reach the channel, and a lost file shows as unavailable instead of vanishing.
  • Network statistics — The host's frame rate is read correctly when VP9 is used.
  • Meeting screens — Leaving a meeting closes its session. A recap card in a room's chat opens in a new tab. On pre-join, «Host responsibility» lists only other people, and a signed-in user's pre-join screen behaves like a dialog.
  • Recap email — The recap email after a participant's first join now reaches them.
  • Glossary view — Mia now shows the whole glossary instead of a part of it.
  • Small interface fixes — Language buttons in the header and footer show a hand cursor, and pricing plan cards stay at four columns in long locales.
  • Security hardening — fixes from our ongoing security review.
