Team status pages, colleagues at sign-up and a redesigned channels sidebar
This week adds team status pages built from your meetings and shows open tasks in the next recap, where members can give a verdict on each one. Channels get a new sidebar on desktop and phone, and the pre-join screen has been redesigned. Many smaller fixes landed across the mobile app, calendar and chat.
New
- Team status pages — Facts your organization's meetings stated (tasks, problems, money at stake, requests by cohort) are collected from recaps into team pages, each fact with a verbatim quote. There is a new Overview page and a Team pages card, and AI assistants connected over MCP can read the pages with the new
list_team_pagesandread_team_pagetools. A call made through an assistant counts as activity for that member. - Open tasks carried into the next recap — Your organization's open tasks carry into the next recap, judged from what was said in the meeting. Members can give a verdict on a task right from the recap, and tasks are now included in the
recap.readywebhook. - Colleagues when a team is created — When a team is created, the payer sees which people from the company's email domain are already here and can invite them by name. A newcomer whose colleague already runs a team can ask to join it instead of starting a second subscription.
- Add a channel to your calendar — The channel menu now has "Add to calendar", so a channel can be scheduled on your Google or Microsoft calendar.
- Phone opens the app, computer opens the pre-join — Links opened on a phone take you straight to the app. A guest on a computer lands on the pre-join screen, where the name is asked.
- Resizable Mia panel — On desktop you can drag the edge of the Mia panel (⌘/) to resize it, up to half of the content area. A collapsed panel leaves a labelled tab at the right edge that opens on click or drag.
Improved
- Channels sidebar on desktop — The header now has one search field and a "New" menu, and a "Today" block at the top lists the day's meetings with the event description and time. Right-click a Today row for "Open in calendar" and "Participant permissions". The "+" menu starts with the channel options: new channel, schedule, link and start now. The sidebar can't be narrowed below phone width, and the /meetings page is still available.
- Channels tab on phone — The tab follows the desktop sidebar: one search field that only finds channels, a "New" menu that works step by step, and a "Today" block. "Start now" and "Schedule" offer your recent renamed rooms, and an unnamed room shows as "New meeting".
- Chat feed — Your messages sit on the right and others' on the left, grouped in series with day separators and unread markers. Each message has a single hover button in its top-right corner, and the "jump to latest" button sits in the bottom-right corner.
- Pre-join screen — The layout is now two columns, with the camera preview on the left and a room bar over the video. Camera and microphone buttons open a device menu, a Language button shows your language (or a highlighted "Translation off"), and the menu offers "Give Feedback". "Check camera and sound" opens in the same tab, with a "Back to meeting" button on the test page.
- Language button in the room — The language button on the room bar now sits to the right of the microphone, as on the pre-join screen. It shows the short name, for example "Portuguese".
- Longer meetings on Basic — The meeting length limit on Basic goes from 60 minutes to 24 hours. The upsell at the time limit is removed, and the cooldown screen states the cap in hours.
- Invite field badges — The three groups of people in the invite field now carry badges, so it is clear who you are adding.
- Calendar sync details — A meeting link is now found in the event's location as well as its title. The first manual sync no longer waits on existing rows, and the avatars of the host and invitees show in the Today row before the first call.
- Mia's documentation search — Mia now ignores filler words, prefers help docs over blog posts, and returns at most two sections per page.
Fixed
- Scheduled room stays scheduled — Joining a scheduled meeting no longer removes its room from the schedule.
- Removed members' sidebar — A member removed from a chat now loses it from their sidebar right away.
- Browser page translation — Browsers no longer offer to translate the app's own screens, which could garble the interface.
- Cyrillic names on video tiles — On mobile, a name with Cyrillic letters no longer shows as garbage on the video tile.
- Billing and Integrations from the mobile app — These now open in the browser instead of sending you back into the app.
- Mobile polish — The join screen is dark without the native header. The chat name comes from the meeting record, and the host can rename it from the gear icon. The search icon no longer has a square behind it, "Back" looks the same on every screen, and text and button rows in Settings and Integrations line up as in Directory.
- Google Workspace Studio step — The "Create an InterMIND meeting" step no longer fails in Flows when the title is left empty.
- Desktop window recovery — The desktop app now reloads a window whose renderer crashed, failed to load or hung.
- Chat sender without an account — A sender without an account no longer receives a viewer's profile, and an image that fails to load keeps its frame.
- Task carryover with outside participants — Open tasks are no longer carried into a session that includes a participant from outside the organization.
- Cooldown screen wording — The cooldown screen now states the cap in hours rather than "1440 minutes".
- Security hardening — Fixes from our ongoing security review.
- Mia search ranking — Documentation results no longer crowd out the relevant page with extra sections.
