Best MCP servers for meetings (2026): what Zoom, Teams, Fireflies, Otter, Granola and InterMIND expose to your AI assistant
A year ago "connect my meetings to my AI" meant copying a transcript into a chat window. Now most meeting tools ship a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: a hosted endpoint your assistant signs into once, after which it can search your meetings, pull a transcript, read a summary — and, in a few cases, do something on your behalf — from the same conversation where it already works with your mail, CRM and tickets.
The catch is that "has an MCP server" tells you almost nothing. One vendor's server exposes nineteen tools and another's exposes three. One lets any account connect, another requires a licence the team may not have. One returns a transcript, another returns a link to a recording. This guide compares the servers the way you would evaluate them: what the assistant can do, who is allowed to connect, how you sign in, and where the server is listed — using only what each vendor states in its own documentation, checked in September 2026. New to the protocol? MCP is an open standard for giving AI assistants tools and data. A remote MCP server is one the vendor hosts at a URL; you add the URL to your assistant, sign in, and the assistant discovers the tools itself.
The three questions that separate the servers
1. Can the assistant only read, or can it act?
Almost every meeting MCP server is a read layer over recordings: search meetings, fetch a transcript, fetch a summary. That is useful — "what did we agree with Acme last week?" answered without opening another app — but it is a rear-view mirror. A smaller set of servers also lets the assistant act: create a meeting, share a report, post into a channel. If your workflow is "AI drafts the follow-up and books the next call", the second group is the one to look at.
2. Who is allowed to connect?
The plan gate is where the surprises are. Some servers are documented as available to every account, some only to paid tiers, some only to users holding a specific AI licence on top of the seat. Since the person connecting is usually not the person paying, check this before you tell the team to try it.
3. Where does it run, and how do you sign in?
Every server in this list is hosted by the vendor (remote, Streamable HTTP). The difference is sign-in: most use OAuth (you approve the connection in a browser and can revoke it), a few also accept an API key for tools that cannot run an OAuth flow (editors, CLIs). Whether the server appears in the Claude Connectors Directory or the official MCP Registry tells you how much setup the first-time user faces: a listed connector is one click; an unlisted one is a URL to paste.
