How to share a file, photo or link into your team chat from any app on iPhone, Android or Mac (2026)
The photo of the whiteboard is in the camera roll, the contract is in Mail, the article is in the browser — and the team chat is a fourth app. If you searched "share to team chat from another app", the short answer for InterMIND is: it is in the share sheet. On iPhone and Android, tap Share in any app and pick InterMIND; on a Mac, use the system Share menu. Then choose the destination — your own Inbox, or a channel — and it lands there as a message. This guide is the rest: what each platform shares, what happens to the file once it lands, and where the Inbox comes from.
From a phone: the share sheet
- In any app, tap Share and pick InterMIND from the sheet. Text, links, images, video and files are accepted.
- The Forward to InterMIND screen opens with the destination list: your Inbox, or any channel you belong to. Tap one.
- It is sent. Several files go out as individual messages; a file over 25 MB is skipped, and the screen says how many.
The iOS app adds itself to the iPhone's share sheet through its Share Extension; the Android app registers in Android's share sheet. Both need the app installed — the phone's browser cannot receive a share.
