InterMIND

How to share a file, photo or link into your team chat from any app on iPhone, Android or Mac (2026)

InterMIND sits in the share sheet of your phone and in the Share menu of your Mac. Pick it from any app — a photo, a PDF, a link, a piece of text — and choose where it goes: your own Inbox or a channel. Files up to 25 MB each arrive as messages, a document is summarized on its own, and every member of the channel reads the text in their own language. What each platform offers, where the Inbox comes from, what the desktop and the browser do instead, and what counts against storage.

The Mind.com Team

  • It is in the share sheet. Tap Share on iPhone or Android and pick InterMIND, or use the Mac's Share menu; choose your Inbox or a channel.
  • A file becomes a message. Files up to 25 MB arrive as messages, a document is summarized on its own, and a channel keeps what lands in it.
  • InterMIND keeps the whole space in each member's language, so a document shared from a phone is read by every channel member in theirs. You pay only for active members.

How to share a file, photo or link into your team chat from any app on iPhone, Android or Mac (2026)

The photo of the whiteboard is in the camera roll, the contract is in Mail, the article is in the browser — and the team chat is a fourth app. If you searched "share to team chat from another app", the short answer for InterMIND is: it is in the share sheet. On iPhone and Android, tap Share in any app and pick InterMIND; on a Mac, use the system Share menu. Then choose the destination — your own Inbox, or a channel — and it lands there as a message. This guide is the rest: what each platform shares, what happens to the file once it lands, and where the Inbox comes from.

From a phone: the share sheet

  1. In any app, tap Share and pick InterMIND from the sheet. Text, links, images, video and files are accepted.
  2. The Forward to InterMIND screen opens with the destination list: your Inbox, or any channel you belong to. Tap one.
  3. It is sent. Several files go out as individual messages; a file over 25 MB is skipped, and the screen says how many.

The iOS app adds itself to the iPhone's share sheet through its Share Extension; the Android app registers in Android's share sheet. Both need the app installed — the phone's browser cannot receive a share.

Open the video page

From a Mac: the Share menu

With the desktop app installed, InterMIND appears in the macOS system Share menu — in Finder, in Preview, in any app with a Share button. Pick it, choose the Inbox or a channel, and the file goes in. On Windows, and in the browser on any platform, the equivalent is to paste or to drop the file onto the app window: a file dropped anywhere on the window uploads to the chat, and a collapsed sidebar opens during the drag.

What happens once it lands

  • A document is summarized on its own. The text is extracted on your device, and an AI summary appears on the file card — the point, the decisions, the open questions — and each member of the channel reads that summary in their own language. Opening the file shows the summary first and the preview one step behind.
  • Text and links are messages. Every member of the channel reads the text in their own language, whatever language it was shared in.
  • It goes into the channel's history. Files shared in a channel stay in its history; they count against the team's shared storage — 1 GB on Basic, 30 GB on Pro, 1 TB on Business, 5 TB on Enterprise.

Where the Inbox comes from

The Inbox is your personal channel. It appears in the channel list the first time something arrives in it — a share from the phone, a message forwarded to yourself, or a Telegram message relayed by the InterMIND bot. From the Inbox you route things on to your channels, or keep them: it is the quickest way to save a link or dictate a note for later. The chat overview describes the three chat types.

FAQ

How do I send a photo from my iPhone to a team channel? Open the photo, tap Share, pick InterMIND, then tap the channel. It arrives as a message that every member sees.

Can I share from Android? Yes. InterMIND is in Android's share sheet; text and files from any app go to your Inbox or a channel. Files up to 25 MB each are sent as individual messages.

Does it work on a Mac? Yes, with the desktop app installed: InterMIND is in the macOS Share menu. On Windows and in the browser, paste or drop the file onto the app window.

What happens to a PDF I share? It is summarized automatically — the summary appears on the file card, readable by each member in their own language — and stored in the channel's history against the team's storage.

Is there a size limit? 25 MB per file. Larger files are skipped, and the share screen tells you how many were.

How to translate WhatsApp messages (2026): the built-in feature, what it covers, and where it stops

WhatsApp translates messages itself now — on the device, with a long-press, and on Android for a whole chat automatically. Where to find it, which languages it ships with, what to do on phones that don't have it yet, how to handle voice notes, and the three things it doesn't do: calls, a group where everyone writes in a different language, and a record you can reread in your own language.

How to export a WhatsApp chat (2026): what Export chat does, what it doesn't, and what to do when the option isn't there

Export chat sends one conversation as a text file, with or without media, through your phone's share sheet — and that's the whole feature. What it means, where it is on Android and iPhone, why the other person can block it, why backup and transfer are different things, why the option is missing in Germany, and what to do when the chat you're exporting is actually your team's record.

How to add an external client or partner to a team chat channel — by email, with no account on their side yet (2026)

A client who lives in your channel instead of in your inbox. In InterMIND you add an outside person to a channel from the member drawer by their email: a registered user is in immediately, anyone else gets an email invite and joins on sign-up, and people you have already met in a meeting are marked Met before. From then on they read the whole channel — every message, every file, every recap — in their own language, and every call from the channel is theirs to join. Who can add, what an external member sees, the invite link and how to rotate it, and how this differs from a guest of a single meeting.

How to send meeting recaps to your CRM, help desk or spreadsheet: Zapier, a webhook, or the API (2026)

Every recap InterMIND produces can land in the tool where you work without anyone copying it by hand. Three ways in: Zapier with the Meeting Recap Ready trigger and the Create Meeting Link action; a recap.ready webhook signed with HMAC; or the API with a personal key, three endpoints and an OpenAPI contract for Make, n8n, Pipedream and AI agents. What the payload carries, the delivery rules, the limits — and the one way that needs no integration at all: an inbound email address as a recap copy recipient.

How to share your phone screen in a video meeting from iPhone or Android (2026)

In the InterMIND iOS and Android apps you share the phone's screen the way a laptop shares its display: start sharing in the app, grant the system's screen-capture permission, and the room sees your phone as the main display. On the receiving side a shared screen can be pinched to zoom and turned to landscape, and the laser pointer someone draws on a laptop lands on your phone in the same place. What a phone can and cannot do in a share, what stays after the call — and, quoted from their documentation, what Google Meet and Microsoft Teams state about sharing from the phone app.
