Who can draw on the board?

Everyone in the meeting. Every participant can draw, add shapes and text at the same time — including guests who joined by link and members of other organizations. Drawing is not limited to the host's own team.

Is the whiteboard a paid feature?

Yes. It is available on Pro, Business and Enterprise, and it is off by default: a team owner or admin switches it on under Integrations → Whiteboard. What counts is the host's plan — a participant on the free Basic plan draws on a board opened in a Pro host's meeting. Live plans are on the pricing page.

What does someone who joins late see?

The board as it currently is. The drawing is kept for the room while the board is open, so a late joiner picks up the same picture instead of a blank one.

Is the drawing saved after the meeting?

No. The board lives in the meeting: closing it discards the drawing, and nothing is stored once the meeting ends. If you need to keep a sketch, capture it before the board is closed.

Which engine draws the board?

Excalidraw, an open-source (MIT) drawing engine, embedded in the meeting. The scene travels over the meeting's own connection, so there is no separate whiteboard account to create and nothing to install.

One board for the room, everyone draws at once

Open the whiteboard from the meeting's More menu and it appears on every participant's stage, next to the video. Sketches, diagrams, arrows — anyone in the room draws, guests included, and someone who joins later sees the board as it is.

How it works

Switch it on once
A team owner or admin turns the whiteboard on under Integrations → Whiteboard. It is off by default; until then nobody in the organization sees it.

Open it from More
During a live meeting, choose Whiteboard in the More menu. The board opens on everyone's stage, next to the video tiles.

Everyone draws at the same time
Every participant can draw, add shapes and text — guests who joined by link and members of other organizations too. There is no single pen and no turn-taking.

Late joiners see the current board
Someone who joins afterwards gets the drawing as it stands, not a blank board. Closing the board discards the drawing; it is not stored after the meeting.
