Desktop app, mobile redesign, and simpler meeting controls
Desktop app, mobile redesign, and simpler meeting controls
This week we shipped our new desktop application and a redesigned mobile experience with picture-in-picture. We also simplified meeting controls across web and mobile, and made document translation usage easier to track.
New
Desktop app — A dedicated desktop client is now available for download, including a universal macOS build.
Mobile conference layout — The mobile in-call view now uses a single-column layout with tap-to-fullscreen and a draggable picture-in-picture window.
Mobile web bridge — The mobile app can now open authenticated web pages natively, letting you manage billing and integrations directly from the app.
Mobile organization management — You can now manage users natively in the mobile app's Organization settings.
Meeting time limit alerts — You will now see a notification when a meeting is approaching its time limit.
Document translation tracking — The billing interface now tracks document translations as a per-period file quota, while text translation remains free on paid plans.
Improved
Simpler meeting controls — Leaving a meeting is now a single click or tap. The option to end the meeting for everyone is moved into the overflow menu and is only visible to moderators.
Mobile chat layout — The standalone chat and in-call chat headers are now unified, with the call button moved to the composer.
Fixed
Screen-share stability — Resolved regressions where sharing your screen could cause your self-video to drop, overlap with other tiles, or fail to reconnect properly.
Accurate document quota — Translation word counts no longer include HTML markup, which previously inflated your usage statistics.
Seat counting — Workspace owners are no longer double-counted as members in seat usage calculations.
Guest access stability — Late guest approvals or expirations no longer affect already-approved guests, and mid-meeting authentication errors for guests have been resolved.
Mobile mute and join flow — Fixed microphone acquisition when unmuting after being muted by a host, and resolved issues with participant join and mute flows on mobile.
Live presence accuracy — The mobile meetings list now refreshes automatically when you focus the app, ensuring the live-presence dot reflects actual headcount.
Security hardening — Fixes from our ongoing security review.
